Attorneys are granted request to present oral arguments
Friday, 05-18-2007
In May Brandon's attorney, William Genego, filed a 65-page rebuttal to the District Court’s denial to Brandon's last appeal. He has been notified that he and the attorneys representing Jason, Micah and Tony have all been granted their requests to give oral arguments to the court on June 25th. These requests are rarely granted so we are cautiously hopeful that the court may be willing to reconsider their decision.------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 11th year Anniversary of Brandon's imprisonment
Monday, 05-23-2005
The 11th year Anniversary of Brandon's imprisonment was marked by the introduction of “Heinsight,”, featuring Brandon's art and also by a reading of a play, "The Prosecution of Brandon Hein", by long-time supporter Charles Grodin. Brandon's father, Gene Hein, was able to fly to Connecticut for the play. According to a recent Los Angeles Times article, "The case has long outraged Grodin, who pored through trial transcripts and interviews to create a nonfiction play that he hopes will result in Hein ... being released. It's heartbreaking," Grodin says. "I found it very difficult to work on. There's something wrong when this boy is serving the same sentence as Charles Manson."------------------------------------------------------------------------
